Abstract
The Madagascar National Micronutrient Survey Report 2024 (ENCM) provides nationally representative data on anemia and micronutrient deficiencies (i.e. iron, zinc, iodine, fluoride, vitamins A and D, folate, vitamin B1, B2, and B12), inflammation and malaria in children 6-59 months of age, adolescents 10-19 years of age, non-pregnant women 15-49 years of age, and pregnant women.
Conducted between June and September 2024, the survey covered 3,680 households across all 23 regions of Madagascar, using a rigorous scientific methodology.
It was implemented by a consortium of international and national institutions: GroundWork (Switzerland), CAETIC Développement (Madagascar), and the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD France).
